Malaysia is a multicultural Southeast Asian country known for its rich blend of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous heritage. This diversity is strongly reflected in its food culture – especially traditional kuih, a broad category of bite-sized snacks and desserts made from rice, glutinous rice, coconut milk, palm sugar, and local flavourings. Across the country, each state showcases its own signature kuih influenced by local ingredients, traditions, and history.
