Back by popular demand following its successful launch in 2025, Food Capital’s Sakura Serenity Buffet returns from 4 March to 31 May 2026, celebrating the elegance of Japanese spring through refined flavours, seasonal artistry, and cultural expression. This buffet is in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in Singapore, marking the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Japan-Singapore diplomatic relations.

This year’s edition is elevated through a four-hands culinary collaboration between Michelin-trained Chef Elson Lee of Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore and Chef Keiji Matoba, presenting authentic Japanese cuisine interpreted through modern techniques.

Signature highlights include Chef Keiji Matoba’s signature Wagyu dish and sea bream claypot, Chef Elson’s Pitan Tofu, lightly seared yellowtail with grated daikon, steamed oysters with sake, Saikyo miso grilled black cod, Japanese Wagyu yakiniku, and a selection of Japanese-inspired desserts featuring matcha and traditional sweets.

Guests may look forward to an exceptional gastronomic showcase during the launch event on 5 March 2026 featuring a live 40KG Tuna Cutting presentation and complemented by cultural performance highlights, including a captivating HIBIKYA cultural showcase, featuring Taiko drumming and Koto performances, and a lucky draw with attractive prizes.
