Home to neo-Confucianist Zhu Xi (a revered scholar and philosopher in the 12th century), Wuyishan is also home to the renowned local Wuyi Yancha (Wuyi "rock" tea) and black tea. A treasury of nature, it was the fourth locale in China that made it to UNESCO's list of World Heritage sites.
