Estelle’s is a welcoming wine and cocktail bar inspired by the sun-drenched shores of the Mediterranean. Designed for evenings spent together, it offers a comfortable yet character-rich setting where conversation flows easily and time feels well spent.

Step inside and discover a space designed by Paul Izzard, where rich mahogany finishes, dramatic black tones and deep garnet accents create a setting that feels intimate, warm and considered — ideal for pre- or post-dinner drinks, or an evening spent lingering at the bar.

 

Spanish-inspired plates, prepared with confidence

Estelle’s menu draws inspiration from Spanish raciones — small plates designed for sharing. Chefs and bar staff work in full view, slicing premium jamón, assembling anchovies on toast, and preparing dishes with care and precision.

Service is attentive and efficient, keeping the atmosphere lively while remaining relaxed and approachable. The result is an experience that feels engaging and social, without formality.

 

Mediterranean classics with a modern approach

The cocktail menu at Estelle’s balances familiar favourites with contemporary interpretations. Signature drinks include the Dirty Negroni with Manuka-smoked olives, the vibrant Paradise, and the bold Hachi Flotar. For something familiar and dependable, the Espresso Martini on tap is consistently smooth and perfectly chilled.

The wine list spans a range of regions and styles, offering thoughtful options to pair with food or enjoy on their own. Estelle’s also offers a carefully curated selection of non-alcoholic cocktails, crafted with the same attention as the rest of the menu. Options such as the Coconut Lychee Mojito, Caramel Apple Pie, and Summer to Autumn — a raspberry tea and watermelon blend topped with ginger ale — provide flavourful alternatives that feel intentional and complete.

The food menu is led by Executive Chef James Kenny and Head Chef Aaron Hyett, with a focus on premium Spanish ingredients, traditional techniques and seasonal balance.

 

Each dish is designed to support conversation and shared enjoyment — simple, confident food prepared with care.

No reservations required, Estelle’s is ideal for pre- or post-show drinks at Aotea Square, with convenient parking at Grand Millennium Auckland and a short stroll to the Arts District.
